I booked a trip with Cpt. Mark Rose in the Everglades for freshwater bass fishing. It was cold the night before, and after it warmed up another cold front came in, making the day potentially very slow for fishing. All the other boats we passed confirmed this, having caught only a few fish or none at all. Despite this, Cpt. Rose demonstrated skillful knowledge of both the fish‘ behavior specific to that area as well as fishing technique. In contrast to the other fishermen we passed, we caught a variety of species; including the peacock bass we had hoped to catch when we booked the trip. We caught several large (>3 lb.) largemouth as well, and got to enjoy the scenery and wildlife of the Everglades, including close up but perfectly safe encounters with alligators. His boat was incredibly clean, and one of the best bass fishing boats I’ve ever been on. He was accommodating, but remember: it’s up to you to listen to what the captain says if you hope to catch any fish. I feel my fishing ability significantly increased by thinking through just a few tips he gave while we were out. If I book again, I’m going to be sure to ask for Cpt. Rose.”

I took my son on an eight hour trip with Captain Ken Walker on Rodman Reservoir on my son’s 14th birthday. I had seen pics of huge bass that had been caught on that lake and had seen great reviews for Captain Ken Walker, so I had really big hopes for us. Captain Ken exceeded my hopes and expectations. We started catching fish within the first 20 minutes of fishing. Within the first 30 minutes of fishing my son landed a huge 9 lbs. 13 oz. trophy bass! From then on we never went more than 20 minutes without catching a fish. I landed an 8 lbs. 7 oz. and then an 8 lbs. 12 oz. bass by noon! That’s 3 trophies in less than 5 hours in the boat! Roger Gonzales. i really did not know what to expect, he (roger) drops a 21 ft ranger in a canal behind a shopping center!!! my first thought was here we go!! roger is the ultimate professional. he put my wife and i at ease, and we were catching peacocks within the first five minutes!!! what a wonderful afternoon !! we actually caught around 20-25 fish, with the the highlight of the day being back to back 5 pounders!!! if you have never fished for peacocks, imagine catching a 5 ib amberjack on 15 lb test... they just dont stop fighting or give up! my highest praise to capt roger, if i am ever back in the Miami area i will definitely fish with him again!!!”

When Deep Sea Fishing be aware of Weather.
Atlantic Coast seasons dictate where a person will fish, which may limit the types of fish available (even though in season).
Please understand the climate dictates where a person can fish, whether we troll or use live bait. Whether we fish Miami’s Biscayne bay or go offshore fishing with bait fish. So it can be difficult to fish, but rely on our experience fishing the area and local knowledge.

The captain will accommodate your requests and will respond promptly to any questions or concerns you may have after reserving your date(s).
